International Master Program
The International Master Program in Geodesy and Geoinformatics
is offered by the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
The program is given entirely in English and does not charge students any tuition fees.
It is open to both Swedish and foreign students.
An undergraduate background in geomatics engineering is preferred.
However, the program can also accept students with a major in computer
sciences or other related engineering fields.
The objective of the programme is to provide advanced training in
modern geographic information technology. In particular, the program
will focus on defining geodetic reference systems, collecting,
structuring and visualizing spatial data and developing geographic information systems.
The program consists of two years, with 60 credits of
course work and 20 credits for the final degree project work.
A complete list of courses can be found on the curriculum page.
A program committee is responsible for the scientific
and pedagogical work of the program. Staff members
from the Geodesy and Geoinformatics groups will participate in the teaching.
Courses of the master program are coordinated with courses
in the Geomatics engineering specialization, offered mainly to Swedish students.
