Who we are
KTH CESIS was established as a research centre in 2004, with the
mission to organise and carry out studies of innovation systems and
with a specific focus on Sweden. The ambition is to provide a
deeper understanding of the interdependencies between innovations
and economic development. Special attention is paid to how R&D
influences economic growth, and to develop models and methods
designed to examine such influences. In this endeavour CESIS strives
to become a hub for collaboration between international research
centres.
The centre is
an organised collaboration between departments at the Royal Institute of
Technology (KTH), Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and Swedish
Institute for Studies in Education and Research (SISTER)
CESIS is
funded by the
Swedish
Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems
(VINNOVA), KTH and JIBS. The centre is administered as an independent part of
the
School of Architecture and the
Built Environment,
KTH.
