Moscow
The NewS programme was represented at a work-shop in Moscow (November 14-15, 2005) by Christina Rudén giving a speech on “Precaution in chemicals management”. The seminar was arranged by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SNF), The International Chemicals secretariat (Chemsec), the International POPs Elimination Project (IPEN), and Eco-Accord. The overall topic of the work-shop was: “HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF TOXIC CHEMICALS: CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT POLICIES OF RUSSIA AND EU COUNTRIES”. The meeting was attended by about 50 participants from NGOs, agencies, and universities in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Moldavia, Kazakstan and Kirgistan. |
