Strategies for non-toxic and resource efficient eco-cycles in different future scenarios
The project was part of the 2008 in-depth evaluation of the National Environmental Quality Objectives. The main purpose was to introduce a long-term perspective and to enhance strategies for different plausible and alternative futures. Proposed policy measures and means of control for the ”Strategy for non-toxic and resource-efficient eco-cycles” (In Swedish: Giftfria och resurssnåla kretslopp, GRK) were evaluated against explorative external scenarios. The evaluation was made both in workshops by involved authorities and stakeholders and within the research group. The project also dealt with objectives that are difficult to achieve, using backcasting techniques with normative future scenarios.
